Raleigh police arrest bank robbery suspect

Police were investigating a holdup just before 3:30 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank branch at 2600 Hillsborough Street Friday afternoon.

Police said the suspect handed the teller a note, and left the bank once the teller complied with his request.

There were no reports of injuries.

James Lewis Johnson, 53, was detained shortly after the robbery, and taken to the Wake County Jail.

He's been charged with one count of armed robbery.
