Clayton rolls out newly designed police cars

CLAYTON, N.C. (WTVD) -- Drivers in Johnston County may notice something new and shiny on the streets starting Monday.

Clayton Police Department will roll out its newly-designed patrol cars.

City leaders said the new cruiser is a modern take on the traditional police car, which was previously known by the slang term "black and white."

The city hopes the new car will capture the spirit of Clayton's growth ahead of its 150th birthday, which happens in April.
