Goose shot with an arrow in Cumberland County
A goose treated after getting shot with an arrow in Cumberland County had to be euthanized.

Animal control investigators are looking for the person who intentionally shot and seriously wounded a Canada goose with an arrow.

Officials said the goose was unable to fly, find food, or protect itself. They believe the bird was attacked by some other animal after being wounded and left for dead.

Officers were called to the Lake Clare area off of Village Drive on Sunday. They found the goose but had to euthanize it.

It is a federal offense to shoot the geese or to harvest them.

Anyone with information is asked to call animal control.
