VIDEO: Teen with cancer channels Jay-Z for Bald So Hard
PHILADELPHIA -- A young cancer patient at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia gives us a glimpse into his life - through the power of Jay-Z songs.
That patient, Tom, is the star of the YouTube video that has gone viral.
In it, the young man covers two Jay-Z songs in the hopes of showing everyone what the everyday life of a cancer patient is like - in a unique way.
With lines like "The only shots I throw back are my pills every morning," it's no surprise Tom's video is a hit!
In his cover of Jay Z's "Empire State of Mind," he also raps "These treatments make you feel brand new/These docs will inspire you."
As you might imagine, the title "Bald So Hard" is in reference to his hair loss from chemo treatments.
He is asking everyone to share his video - and asks Jay to stop in and "hang out" the next time he's in Philly.
