Cary teen charged after stabbing dog multiple times

CARY, North Carolina (WTVD) -- A Cary teenager is facing animal cruelty charges after he stabbed a dog multiple times.

Police told ABC11 that Austin Parker was trying to break up a fight between his mother's two dogs and stabbed one of them, a pit bull terrier, to get it to stop attacking the other animal.

Both dogs were treated by a veterinarian and are recovering.
