CHARLOTTE -- A 29-year-old newly-hired Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department candidate died during training Tuesday, officials with the department told WSOC.
Authorities said around 8:30 a.m., candidate Jeremy Moseley collapsed while going through state-mandated physical fitness training.
He was pronounced dead at Carolinas Medical Center.
CMPD is working with the Medical Examiner's Officer to determine the cause of death.
Moseley was hired by CMPD on June 27.
