CHARLOTTE -- Three men are facing charges after two vehicles and a hotel lobby get sprayed by gunfire in downtown Charlotte.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say about 40 to 50 shots were fired into an SUV, a van and the lobby door of the Hyatt Hotel before dawn Sunday. Multiple media organizations reported no one was hurt and investigators don't think it was random gunfire.

Nearby security guards say they heard the shots, saw a Nissan Altima fleeing the scene and recorded the license number.

Police stopped the car and a backseat passenger jumped out and ran into a parking deck before being arrested. Two more weapons were found in the vehicle.

All three men were charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling and discharging a firearm in city limits.
