Teen shot near high school in Durham County

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning near Southern High School.

Police said someone shot a 15-year-old male just before around 1:30 a.m. near the school.

The victim's name has not been released, but authorities said someone drove him to Leon Street after the shooting.

The victim was treated at the hospital and is said to have non-life threatening injuries.
