Motorcyclist killed in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The Raleigh Police Department says a man was killed Wednesday evening in a motorcycle crash.

It happened around 5:30 p.m.

Investigators said the unidentified 26-year-old was headed north on Carthage Circle when he lost control near Piedmont Drive.

He was taken to WakeMed where he was later pronounced dead.

An investigation was underway.
