FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville Police need help identifying the man they say sexually assaulted a woman in his car.

Police said it happened on Saturday around 9 p.m. near the Rosehill Road corridor. The assault wasn't reported until Thursday.

Detectives with the Special Victim's Unit said the victim got a ride from an unknown man driving an older model Ford Crown Victoria. The suspect drove the victim to a location off Rosehill Road where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.

The suspect then ordered the woman out of the car and fled the area.

The suspect was described as a black man in his twenties wearing a white tank top and black pants. He has a muscular shape, a goatee, dreadlocks, and weighed around 200 lbs.
