Fort Bragg soldier killed in Afghanistan
Spc. Brian K. Arsenault with the 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, died Thursday in Ghazni, Afghanistan.

FORT BRAGG (WTVD) -- Officials at Fort Bragg announced Friday that a soldier stationed at the base died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.



Spc. Brian K. Arsenault, 28, of Northborough, Massachusetts, died Thursday in Ghazni, Afghanistan, after his unit was "engaged by enemy small-arms fire," according to officials.



Arsenault was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, at Fort Bragg.
