Man accused of secret peeping at Fuquay-Varina store

FUQUAY-VARINA, NC (WTVD) -- A Wake County man is accused of secretly peeping on a female at a busy Fuquay-Varina store. Davis Covell, 33, was arrested Friday afternoon at the Walmart, off Hwy 401.

Covell, of Willow Springs, was released from jail after posting a $2,000 bond.

Fuquay-Varina Spokesperson Susan Weis said police received several complaints Friday afternoon that Covell was taking photos of a female.

According to the arrest warrant, Covell was secretly taking low-angle photos to see the victim's underwear and body. Police are not saying if the victim is an adult or child.

Covell has been charged with felony secret peeping.

He is scheduled to go before a judge on Tuesday.
