Gas leak shuts down part of downtown Apex

APEX (WTVD) -- Part of downtown Apex were blocked Wednesday due to a gas leak in the 100 block of N. Salem Street.

The leak was reported just after 11 a.m. near Buttercream's Bakery in downtown.

Salem Street was shut down from Center to Chatham streets for several hours while crews worked on repairs.
