CARSON, Calif. -- Nearly 3,000 high chairs are being recalled due to a design flaw that could cause children to be strangled.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the leg or side opening of the Dream On Me Dinah High Chairs can allow a child's body to pass through and become entrapped at the neck or fall from the chair.
There are no reports of injuries. The company will be offering a free repair kit.
The chairs were sold at Wal-Mart and on Amazon for about $60. The manufacturing date for the chairs included in the recall are November 2012 and July 2013.
Consumers are advised to stop using the high chairs immediately. For more information, contact Dream On Me at (877) 201-4317 or at dreamonme.com.
