1 killed in moped accident in Clayton

CLAYTON, N.C. (WTVD) -- One person was killed in a moped crash in Clayton overnight.

The crash happened around Cornwallis Road on Highway 70. ABC11 cameras captured a moped on the side of the road. The State Highway Patrol was on the scene as well as a fire truck and an ambulance.

The victim was not identified by police. The circumstances of the crash are not known.
