Day of Giving
Hurricane Harvey has devastated Texas and threatens Louisiana.

Thank you so much for your support as we join ABC and Disney to continue our "Day of Giving" to benefit those impacted by Hurricane Harvey! It kicked off Thursday on ABC11's Eyewitness News Mornings before handing the baton over to Good Morning America. The effort continues Friday as we raise donations for the Red Cross. Those dollars will go to those most impacted by this devastating storm.

So far, you've contributed $32,000, locally. Across the country, the ABC effort has raised $11.7 million.

Want to donate? You can just click here. Or see below for more ways you can help.

Text the word HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation through the Red Cross. You can also visit redcross.org/ABC or call 1-855-999-GIVE (1-855-999-4483)

Or, if you'd like to donate to Houston area food banks, the Feeding Texas website, which is a part of Feeding America, is funding directly the 5 food banks in or close to the affected areas to help get food and other supplies to those affected. You can find out more information at www.feedingtexas.org.

The Walt Disney Company and its owned ABC television station KTRK in Houston jointly announced a $1 million cash commitment to the American Red Cross in support of recovery efforts for communities affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Did you know that when Hurricane Matthew hit North Carolina, the ABC station in Houston helped to raise money for our region? And Disney's last "Day of Giving" in 2012 raised more than $18 million to aid local communities impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
