Man injured in Durham shooting; suspect in custody

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Durham Police are investigating after a man was shot late Friday afternoon.

Officers responded shortly after 5:30 p.m. to the 600 block of Middle Street. The gunshot victim was taken to a hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is in custody, DPD said.

The shooting remains under active investigation, police said.

No other details were immediately released.

Earlier on Friday, a shooting in Durham left a woman dead and a man seriously injured.
