Accident closes part of I-85 near Henderson

VANCE COUNTY (WTVD) -- Southbound lanes of Interstate 85 near Henderson were closed for several hours early Friday morning due to an accident.

The incident happened just before 2:20 a.m. at exit 217 for Satterwhite Point Road. The lanes later reopened around 6:30 a.m.

Details surrounding the accident have not been released.
