JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A woman was killed in Johnston County after a pickup truck t-boned the Jeep she was riding in on Thursday.
According to the N.C. State Highway Patrol, a man was driving his Jeep Wrangler east on NC-42, and attempted to make a left turn at US-70. Coming in the opposite direction was a Ford F-150.
Troopers said the pickup t-boned the Jeep, ejecting the Jeep's female passenger. She was not wearing her seatbelt, authorities said.
The woman was declared dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released.
The driver of the Jeep was taken to Rex Hospital. His condition is unknown.
Troopers said the F-150's driver was not injured in the collision.
State Highway Patrol said charges are pending, but names are not being released at this time.
