Kenly officer involved in accident

KENLY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Kenly police officer was involved in a crash Thursday evening.

The accident happened on South Church Street at Goldsboro Street.

Our crew on the scene said the officer received only a minor injury to his shoulder. He did not go to the hospital.

The State Highway Patrol is investigating.

The officer's name has not been released.

There's no word on if any charges will be filed.
