Lee County deputy shot, expected to recover

SANFORD, N.C. (WTVD) -- Sanford Police said a Lee County deputy was shot Friday night.

The shooting happened on the 100 block of Post Office Road in Lee County.

The deputy is expected to recover, police told ABC11.

Authorities haven't said whether they know who shot the deputy.
