Clinton in Raleigh Sunday, Trump has multiple stops in NC amid early voting

Former President Bill Clinton was in eastern North Carolina Saturday campaigning for VP Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz.

Over 100 people gathered at the Pitt County Democratic Headquarters to hear Clinton speak. He discussed some policies, including Harris' healthcare and economy stances.

Pitt County resident Franklin Ward said it's important for people his age to show support and vote.

"This is our future," Ward said. "At the end of the day, we will be inheriting the future of our country. This is why I think everybody my age should get involved with the cause...to not only understand who you're voting for, why you're voting for them, but what they stand for."

Sunday, Clinton will be in Raleigh to lead an early vote block party with the North Carolina Democratic Party.

Former President Donald Trump is set to hold a rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

Doors will open at the Greensboro Coliseum on W. Gate City Blvd. at 3 p.m., and Trump is scheduled to deliver remarks at 7 p.m.

The rally will come a day after Trump stops in Greenville on Monday, Oct. 21.

Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff will be in the Triangle Tuesday to encourage North Carolinians to vote early, according to the Harris-Walz campaign.

He will participate "in hurricane relief efforts and deliver remarks at a Get Out The Vote event."

The specific location and time have not been released yet.

North Carolina State Board of Elections said officials across the state work to ensure the safety and security of all voters and the election process.

Several processes are in place to secure the state's elections, including voting equipment testing and the investigations division.
