Drivers flock to Tesla supercharge amid ice threat

Drivers are flocking to a Tesla supercharging station at Wellington Park Shopping Center in Cary, where waits for a charger can be lengthy on days like this.

The threat of catastrophic ice this weekend may cause significant power outages across Central North Carolina.

Many electric cars are equipped with outlets that allow drivers to charge without home power. However, did you know your EV might also be able to power your home?

Certain car brands, such as Ford, Hyundai, and Tesla Cybertrucks, feature vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology, enabling the use of the car battery to power external devices.

According to Electrek, a power company, a fully charged EV can power a home for several days.
