Mosquito season reaches peak across North Carolina

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- This is Mosquito Control Awareness Week, and experts are warning people about the dangers posed by the biting insects that could be lurking in your backyard.

Mosquitoes can carry diseases such as the West Nile Virus and Eastern Equine Encephalitis.
