JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A motorcyclist is dead after an early morning accident in Johnston County.
Authorities responded to the scene of the crash around 3:20 a.m. Sunday.
The accident occurred on Highway 210 near Peed Lane.
Officials say 26-year-old Joseph Daniel Pollard, of Angier, was killed after leaving a party.
Investigators say the motorcycle ran off the right side of the road, struck a road sign and then a tree, ejecting him from the bike.
Pollard was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital.
