Cumberland Co. deputies looking for attempted ATM thief

CUMBERLAND COUNTY (WTVD) -- The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help identifying a man who attempted to break into an ATM at a State Employee's Credit Union on Dunn Road.



Deputies said it happened August 14 at 3749 Dunn Road in Eastover. An alarm went off which notified the Sheriff's Office.



The man is about 5 foot 8 inches tall and wearing a white sleeveless shirt and a tattoo on his right forearm. Authorities said there appears to be a dark colored Ford Taurus in the background of the surveillance footage.



The ATM was damaged in the robbery attempt.
