FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A man has been charged in connection with a decade-old incident involving a child in Fayetteville.
Tony Gamble, 30, of the 100 block of Laney Walker Boulevard in Augusta, Ga., was charged Thursday with indecent liberties with a child in connection with an incident that occurred in June 2006 with an 11-year-old victim.
Police said the suspect was an acquaintance of the family at the time of the incident.
Fayetteville police became aware that Gamble was in Georgia, and with the help of the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Squad, was able to extradite Gamble back to Fayetteville.
Gamble is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $25,000 secured bond.
