Box truck hits pedestrian in Chapel Hill

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- Chapel Hill police said a box truck struck a pedestrian early Thursday morning.

It happened around 6:02 a.m. on Old Durham Road north of East Lakeview Drive.

The pedestrian was taken to UNC Hospital and is in critical condition, police said.

Police are still investigating. No charges have been filed.
