Crews respond to fire at sub shop in Fayetteville strip mall

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- The Fayetteville Fire Department responded to a call Saturday night at a Jersey Mike's sandwich shop in a strip mall.

It happened around 8:45 p.m. at 2043-104 Skibo Road.

Authorities said when firefighters arrived, they saw light smoke coming from the roof.

Crews located the fire in the kitchen and quickly extinguished it. Authorities said there was no damage to other stores in the strip mall.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported.
