Durham police investigate after woman shot

DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating a shooting that injured a woman near Cannada Avenue off of Dearborn Drive Monday evening.

Police said the woman was shot, but did not release any other details or information about the victim.

An ABC11 crew at the scene said the unidentified victim was shot in the head and rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

A suspect may have been driving a white truck, but police have not confirmed those details.

The case remains under investigation.
