Father-son dispute leads to Cumberland County shooting

CUMBERLAND COUNTY (WTVD) -- Cumberland County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the scene of a shooting Tuesday night reportedly involving a father and his adult son.

It happened at a home in the 2600 block of Everitte Street, off Cumberland Road in the Fayetteville area.

A family member told ABC11 that a father and son got into a heated argument.

The father then pulled out a gun and shot his son, the family member said.

A crew at the scene saw the victim being loaded into the back of an ambulance.

Family members said he has non-life threatening injuries.

No other information was immediately available from the sheriff's office.
