Lightning sparks Hope Mills fire

HOPE MILLS, N.C. (WTVD) -- Firefighters say a lightning strike ignited a fire at a home across from Gray's Creek High School in Hope Mills Friday afternoon.

The flames quickly spread from the attic to the rest of the house.

Everyone got out safely, but the house was a total loss.
