RALEIGH (WTVD) -- The FBI said the man who made threats aimed at Raleigh Police Chief Cassandra Deck-Brown is now behind bars.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office arrested Jesse Lee Kuhl Thursday.

Agents said Kuhl has sent more than a dozen emails to the police chief filled with racial slurs and death threats.

Kuhl claimed he was mistreated by employees while working at North Carolina Waste Management.

In one email, he used a slur and wrote "I demand you resign or you deserve to die."

Kuhl is scheduled for his initial appearance Friday afternoon at the federal courthouse in Fresno.
