RALEIGH (WTVD) -- James Beard Award-winning chef Ashley Christensen of Poole's Diner is on the lookout for some thieves.

Christensen posted on social media sites Thursday that a custom cooker given to her by mentor Nick Pihakis to celebrate winning the award was taken when crooks broke into her facility and did thousands of dollars' worth of damage.

"I dare you drive this cooker down the road, or break it out at a party. It is fully custom, and we'll be looking for ya," said Christensen.

Christenson said she does have insurance, but the cooker - which she uses mainly for charitable causes - is "one of the most special gifts that has ever been given to me."

If you see the cooker, please call police.
