Woman shot in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Police are investigating a shooting in Durham.

It happened around 3:45 p.m. Monday on Grace Lane and Elizabeth Street in east Durham.

Police say a woman was shot in the knee by someone known to her while trying to intervene in a disturbance.

She was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that police say do not appear to be life-threatening at this time.

No arrests have been made.
