Newton Grove police chief arrested after alleged domestic dispute

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Johnston County deputies arrested the Newton Grove Police Chief after they say he was involved in an alleged domestic dispute.

Authorities said 48-year-old Frankie Harrell reportedly assaulted his wife on Wednesday, grabbing her by the neck while she was on the phone.

Harrell was released from jail on a $1,000 bond and has been ordered to not have any contact with his wife.
