Missing Johnston County woman found, taken to hospital

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A missing woman from Princeton was found in a ditch in a bean field about a mile from her home Monday. She was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

A Silver Alert had been issued for Patricia Ann Jordan Sunday morning. She was found by a search helicopter from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.

"This is just another example of state and local agencies working together assisting families in need," said Captain Jeff Caldwell of the Johnston County Sheriff's Office. "As Sheriff, I am humbled by the dedication of the public servant's whom volunteered their time in this search, and the outpouring of support from members of the community who stopped by the command center and left food and water, voicing their appreciation for our service."
