Man dies after being hit by car on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A pedestrian died after being hit by a car in the 64-hundred block of Glenwood Avenue at Pleasant Valley Road.

Raleigh police are investigating the incident that happened around 6:30 a.m.

Pictures from the scene showed a car with damage to the front end and windshield.

According to the wreck report, Raymundo Garcia-Sanchez of Raleigh was crossing Glenwood Avenue not in a designated crosswalk. He was hit in the southbound left lane.

Garcia-Sanchez died after being taken to the hospital.

No charges have been filed.
