Fayetteville Police ID female pedestrian struck, killed
FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A woman who was struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon along Morganton Road near the Murray Fork Drive intersection has died as a result of her injuries, Fayetteville Police said Thursday evening.
Officers identified her Saturday as 34-year-old Zheng Zhou of McFadyen Drive. Zhou was originally from Brooklyn, NY and recently relocated to Fayetteville.
Zhou was attempting to cross the street when she was hit. Zhou was rushed to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where she later died.
The driver of the involved vehicle was not injured during the crash.
