Avon fisherman reels in 2nd hammerhead shark in 2 days

AVON, N.C. (WTVD) -- A hammerhead shark was reeled in by a fisherman in Avon on Thursday afternoon.

This is the second hammerhead pulled out of the water in two days.

This shark was about 11 feet long.

The same man caught a hammerhead the day before while fishing off the beach in Avon.

Both sharks were released back into the ocean.
