Police hunt for man who robbed Burlington Subway

BURLINGTON (WTVD) -- Burlington Police are looking for a man who robbed a Subway restaurant at a busy shopping center Thursday night.

Police said it happened about 9:30 p.m. at the Subway at 3171 Garden Road.

A worker told police that a man entered the eatery and displayed a handgun. He ordered the employee to empty the cash register and left on foot.

The worker was not injured. A Burlington Police Department canine officer was used in an attempt to track the suspect.

The suspect is described as white, about 6-feet to 6-feet 2-inches tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black ski mask partially covering his face.
