Durham deputies make big drug bust while serving court order
DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Durham sheriff's deputies made a major drug bust while serving a child custody order.
It happened Thursday night at a home in the 500 block of Maple Street.
While serving the order, deputies smelled marijuana coming from the home and then saw what appeared to be marijuana.
They got a search warrant and found 16 pounds of marijuana, THC vapes, gummies, mushrooms, and a large amount of cash.
Neil Driver, 29, was arrested.
Driver was charged with felony possession of marijuana, manufacturing, delivering, or selling a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park, manufacturing, delivering, or selling a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, maintaining vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute marijuana, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute Schedule 1 controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was being held at the Durham County Detention Center on a $75,000 secured bond.
