

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WTVD) -- Two people were killed and another critically injured in a shooting late Saturday afternoon in Rocky Mount, police said.
Rocky Mount police officers responded around 5 p.m. to the 1500 block of East Raleigh Boulevard after receiving a report of gunfire.
When officers arrived, they found three people suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a news release from the department.
Two victims died at the scene, police said. Their names have not been released pending notification of family members.
The third victim was taken to a hospital and is listed in critical condition.
Police did not release information about a suspect or possible motive.
