2025 rising wedding costs only going up in part due to tariffs

Getting eloped might not be as romantic as having a traditional wedding, but it could help your wallet.

Over the past 5 years the price tag on an average wedding has risen nearly 20% to $33,000 according to wedding marketplace The Knot.

The upward trend is expected to continue in part because of the Trump administration's tariffs.

Vendors say charges on non U.S. countries have caused their prices to go up for items including: dresses, rings and even cake ingredients.
