Car chase in Wake County ends in arrest after multi-county pursuit

WILLOW SPRING, N.C. (WTVD) -- A car chase on Friday afternoon led to one arrest.

The Wake County Sheriff's Office reported that around 3 p.m., a deputy spotted a suspicious vehicle on Trouble Road in Willow Spring.

When the deputy attempted to stop the car, the driver fled, leading to a pursuit through Mount Pleasant Road, Old Fairground Road, and Cool Creek Drive in Johnston County, where the driver eventually stopped.

The driver was taken into custody, and charges are pending as the investigation continues.
