Crews work to repair leaking water line at Cary Parkway and Kildare Farm Road

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A section of Cary Parkway is currently closed due to a water main break at the intersection of Kildare Farm Road.

Officials say construction crews are working to repair the leaking water line, and there are no reported water service outages in the community.

The town has warned that repair work will disrupt traffic in the area.

Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes:

• Southbound Kildare Farm Road (from High Meadow Drive): Drivers must turn left or right onto Cary Parkway; through traffic is not allowed.
• Northbound Kildare Farm Road (from Queensferry Road): Left turns onto Cary Parkway are prohibited.
• Eastbound Cary Parkway (from Killarney Drive): Left turns onto Kildare Farm Road are not permitted.

The cause of the water main break is still under investigation.
