
DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles is scheduled to open a temporary driver's license office on Tuesday in Durham.
The opening will provide service to residents while the S. Miami Boulevard office is closed.
The temporary office, at 1811 Palmer St., in the Uplift Community Center, in Durham, opened at noon and offers express services such as license and ID card renewals and duplicates from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. through July 10. No written, knowledge or skills tests will be administered. The permanent office, at 101 S. Miami Blvd., is scheduled to reopen July 13.
All previous appointments at the East Durham office were rescheduled.
