Driver crashes into Fayetteville home, arrest made

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A car crashed into a Fayetteville home early Friday morning, slamming into a bedroom where a young girl was asleep.

The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. on Bingham Drive near Bailey Lake Road.

Miraculously, the child was unharmed, but the family's home was left in ruins.

According to investigators, the car was heading south on Bingham Drive when it veered off the road, down an embankment, and struck bushes, trees, and a garbage can before hitting the house.

The driver was arrested at the scene, and authorities are determining the charges he will face.
