The incident began just after 4 p.m. on Friday when a deputy saw a speeding Honda Pilot on I-540 E near Louisburg Road. The deputy pursued the Honda to Old Milburnie Road near Greenbrook Drive, where the driver stopped and ran from the car. Two passengers, a woman and a child, stayed in the car.

Deputies used a K-9 to find the driver. He was found and taken into custody on Greenbrook Drive.

Anthony Lee Franco, 23, was charged with felony flee to elude arrest, misdemeanor child abuse, and resisting a public officer, among other traffic-related charges.
