Durham man charged with murder in February shooting

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Durham Police have made an arrest in a February shooting that left a man dead.

Tavarus Joyner, 47, was found shot on the sidewalk in the 200 block of East Umstead Street on Feb. 11.

DPD said Sayquon Bowens, 23, of Durham, was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder in connection with Joyner's death.

Bowens was taken to the Durham County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
